Verona appoints new Sporting Director: Luca Matteassi. The Serie A club has officially announced the arrival of the Tuscan director as the new Sporting Director, entrusting him with the leadership of the technical area for the next two seasons. Luca Matteassi was born in Grosseto on January 23, 1979, and has a long experience in Italian football. He started his career as a player in Piacenza and then played for several teams, including Spezia, Albinoleffe, Novara, Rimini, Pro Vercelli and Pro Piacenza. After concluding his career as a player, he embarked on a managerial path that saw him as a protagonist in various Italian football realities. Matteassi has worked as Sporting Director at Piacenza, Modena, Pescara and L.R. Vicenza. Now he returns to Verona's football, where he has already played as a player with the Hellas Verona jersey. His task will be to lead the technical area of the Serie A club for the next two seasons.
